(Question) Why do ingrown toenails happenㅠㅠ (Ingrown toenails)
Please listen to my very perfect concernㅠ
I think my toenails have hurt a lot since I was young.
Nails are usually cut precisely and neatly, right? But I think I was always a bit careless when it came to my feet because I was afraid. Feet seem to always be a hassle because they have to overcome gravity. I wonder if I was doing the stepping process wrong... I don't knowㅠ
When I was young, around middle school, my toenail grew into my skin, causing swelling, and eventually the inflammation worsened, making me limp. I couldn't wear sneakers, only slippers, and I took medication to reduce the inflammation, applied a lot of Fucidin, and limped around for about two weeks. I walked with a limp as if my bone was broken.ㅜㅜ
It's so tear-jerking.
When it swelled up like that, I couldn't cut into it or do anything, so I think I went to the doctor, got anesthesia, and had it removedㅠ
When I went to the hospital, they said this is the usual kind of toenail.
The shape itself is like thatㅠㅠ there's nothing I can do for plastic surgeryㅠㅠ it made me feel depressed.
They told me that it's important to properly care for ingrown toenails, but the doctor didn't give me specific advice.
I looked up ingrown toenails.
It is described that it penetrates the surrounding soft tissue, with the nail acting as a foreign body, causing pain and pus.
Oh, I really cut it with careㅜㅜ
I don't know the correct way to take care of these nails, so I haven't been able to manage them well since then. If the inflammation worsens, it's obvious that I won't be able to walk. Daily life is very difficult. I have removed the ingrown part of the nail, but I'm curious how everyone cuts their nails.
I'm having a really hard time because of my toenails; it's difficult to file them round, and if I cut them straight, it tends to cause holes in my socks. I don't know how to cut them smoothly and neatly. I would appreciate it if you could share some tips or techniques for cutting them properly.
And another important point is that if you walk 10,000 steps every day, your toenails also hurt due to the gravity of stepping while walking. Is it correct to keep cutting the toenails until there is nothing like a nail that digs into the end like a fingernail?
Or is it better to just leave some of the toenail and cut it?
My feet aren't even pretty, and I keep suffering because of them, so I resent my feetㅠ ㅎㅎ Still, if I rest from exercise for a bit, the toenail pain symptoms are a bit less... I wonder why they look like this?
As you can see in the picture, the flesh on the right side is always slightly swollen, right? It's red. I think that indicates a slight swelling.
I'm feeling a little pain these days tooㅠ Others can trim their toenails properly on their own, but I really don't understand why this happens to me. I'm afraid to walk, and because of this, I can't exercise regularlyㅠ
I would be very grateful if you could share your toenail care tips.
