Intermittent lower back pain in your 20s
I have been experiencing lower back pain since my twenties, but at that time, the pain came and went intermittently, so I didn't think it was serious.
When my back hurts, even just bending over to wash my hair can cause severe pain.
After being sick for a few days, I suddenly had no pain at all, as if nothing had happened.
So, when I had back pain, I thought it would be okay after a while.
 
Back pain in your 30s
During my thirties, when I spent a long time sitting in a chair, chair life was very difficult.
As far as I remember, I didn't have back pain all the time, but when the pain came, I couldn't sit in a chair.
I bought a chair that is said to be good for the back, and sitting on it seemed to gradually improve my back pain.
At this time, simply adopting a good posture for the back alleviated the pain.
 
Herniated disc in the lower back in my 40s
There are three main causes of a herniated disc in the lower back.
Sudden rupture when lifting heavy objects
Repeatedly lifting light objects can cause it to burst.
Poor posture over a long period can cause a herniated disc.
 
I don't think I have been repeatedly lifting heavy objects or maintaining bad posture for my back.
As I mentioned above, my back has been problematic since my twenties and thirties, accumulating over time.
Sometimes, carrying slightly heavy items when shopping or occasionally bending over seems to have accumulated and caused a herniated disc in my lower back.
 
Methods to Overcome a Herniated Disc
I, who suffered from a herniated disc, am making a great effort not to bend my waist.
Even when picking up objects that have fallen to the ground, I sit upright with my back straight and pick them up or use my toes to grab them, haha.
Whenever I have time, I do posture extension exercises that are good for my back.
You can perform stretching movements while sitting, standing, or lying face down.
 
There are no strength exercises that are good for the lower back when a herniated disc occurs.
Be careful as excessive strength training can worsen your disc condition.
I often go for walks because I hear that leaning the upper body forward and doing stretching movements provides a gentle vibration to the discs, which is beneficial.
 
If you are suffering from a herniated disc, always remember the posture below.
After holding for about 5 seconds and then releasing, your lower back will feel comfortable.

    한동안 정말 고생했어요.
