[Concern] I woke up with pain in my right arm and find it difficult to lift it ㅠ
I woke up and was trying to support myself with my arm to get up.
My right arm was hurting too much.
I thought I might have slept poorly and that I would feel better soon, but when I moved my arm, the pain was severe.
Having a glass of water in the morning
I was trying to stretch and raise my arm.
My right arm only lifts halfway and I can't lift it any further.
Are you wondering if it's frozen shoulder?
I looked up related information.
[Source: MBC LIFE]
Frozen shoulder is a disease characterized by inflammation of the shoulder joint capsule, leading to tissue adhesion.
The joint capsule is flexible, allowing the arm to rotate 360 degrees.
If you have frozen shoulder, inflammation in the shoulder causes tissue adhesion, making it difficult to move your arm properly.
Rotator cuff tear is when the tendon tears.
It is said that 70% of shoulder pain causes after the age of 50 are due to rotator cuff tears.
[Frozen Shoulder vs Rotator Cuff Tear: How to Differentiate]
When raising one arm in a salute position, it doesn't go all the way up, only about halfway.
If your arm doesn't lift even when someone else raises it, it is highly likely to be frozen shoulder.
If the arm easily raises above 90 degrees when someone else lifts it, there is a high likelihood of rotator cuff tear.
I find it difficult to lift my arm more than 90 degrees.
Since someone else posted it, I can do the "Mansa" pose without pain.
I don't think it's frozen shoulder at least.
Is it a rotator cuff tear?
There is almost no pain if you do not move your arm.
There is pain when raising your arm or moving it forward, backward, or sideways.
When others lift my arm, there is almost no pain.
Has anyone experienced these symptoms?
There was nothing that could have caused arm pain before I fell asleep. It seems that certain sleeping positions can also cause things like tendon tears.
Please advise if anyone has emergency procedures or related information.
