When my head throbs urgently, I think the best solution is definitely to take medicine. Sometimes my head throbs because of work or job-related stress.
It happens occasionally. At those times, I ride my bike to exercise and breathe in the fresh air, clearing my mind. Surprisingly, riding vigorously like this helps me sweat and relieves the stubborn headache that had been bothering me.
