A trustworthy hospital enough to visit twice a day: Review of Kim Dong-geon Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic

Last week, my second child fell while taking a bath and hit the bathtub.

My ribs got hit, and since it was dinner time, I thought it would be okay by the next day, but even the next day it was so painful that I couldn't go to school. ㅠㅠ

Since the child is sick, I couldn't send them to school, and I went to the hospital from the morning.

 

I find that hospitals recommended by people around me or those with good accessibility are easier to visit.

Kim Dong-geon Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic is easily accessible and I was satisfied when I visited before, so I decided to visit again this time.

There is a tower parking lot, and since the parking attendant parks the car for you, you can go directly to the hospital without waiting.

 

Although it opens at 9 o'clock, I arrived around 8:50, and there were already three people waiting.

After registering in the fourth order, many other people also came.

I recommend arriving a little earlier than the opening hours!

 

I was called in order for my appointment, and since I was experiencing pain in my ribs, they told me to take deep breaths and also to try coughing.

It seems there are no major issues, but just in case, they suggested taking an X-ray.

 

 

The X-ray results show no abnormalities in the bones, but you were advised to have a detailed examination when you have more time to check if the spine is curved.

There were no major issues, so I applied tape around the ribs and finished the consultation.

 

But.. dum dum,,!!

 

I received a call that my older child twisted their ankle at school...ㅠㅠ

I went to pick up my child on the way home from school and then went back to Dr. Kim Dong-gun's Rehabilitation Medicine Department.

It's the second visit of the day, but reservations are not available.. ㅠㅠ

 

Still, since there weren't many patients when I visited, I was able to see the doctor quickly.

After taking an X-ray of the ankle, they said it might be a crack in the bone or it could look like the growth plate is cracked.

They put on a cast just in case of a possible fracture.

 

 

He said to take another photo after the swelling subsides in two days.

Since it is a fracture, physical therapy is not recommended, so only medication was prescribed without additional treatment.

 

Since it might be a fracture, it's best to avoid putting your foot on the ground as much as possible, so they even lent me crutches^^;

 

When I went back for a follow-up appointment two days later and took a photo, it turned out not to be a fracture.

From the first day of treatment, I wished I had been told it wasn't definitely cracked, so I felt a bit disappointed that I didn't need a cast.

I think I was able to recover quickly by being as careful as possible during the two days after getting the cast.

 

I plan to visit again if this situation occurs again!
