Concern) Considering whether to undergo surgery for hallux valgus

My younger sibling has a slight bunion.

I feel some discomfort when I wear shoes, to the point that I'm considering surgery.

But after looking into it, I found out that they perform surgical procedures and then remove the screws a year later, so I think I'm worried and a bit scared.

I'm really torn between living with discomfort without surgery or going through the surgery, which might be difficult and painful for a while, but ultimately allow me to live more comfortably in the future.

I'm curious about how those who have undergone bunion surgery feel about the results and their level of satisfaction.
