[Concern] Bunions cause pain; when shoes touch them, they turn red and hurt more.
These days, the weather is nice, so it's really good to walk outside.
I am struggling with pain caused by bunions when I walk.
I have symptoms of bunion deformity ㅠㅠ
The right foot protrudes quite noticeably, while the left foot is less so compared to the right.
Below is my right foot.
Even in the photo, the big toe side is protruding outward.
If you stay still, there is slight pain, and when touched or stimulated somewhere, the pain becomes very severe.
Especially, when walking with shoes on, if the protruding part touches the shoe, the pain becomes more severe.
Just looking at it, the right foot is sticking out, isn't it? ㅠㅠ
If it hits somewhere and the friction becomes severe, it can turn red~ and sometimes it also causes a fever.
I really enjoy walking and know I need to walk regularly for my health, but I'm disappointed because I can't walk freely due to bunion deformity.
If it protrudes and stays out to that extent, it might be okay, but it seems to be protruding a little more each time, and I'm becoming more worried.
These days, I buy shoes one size larger, preferably with a wider fit and made of soft material.
I can't even dream of pretty shoes.
Wearing shoes that fit perfectly feels tight, and the pain from the protruding area is too severe.
The above is the left foot.
My left foot was also slightly protruding.
It's not as bad as the right foot~
I think we need to manage it so it doesn't protrude further, but I don't really know a precise method.
[Prolonged hiking as the main cause of deterioration]
There is a reason why my hallux valgus has worsened.
It's a long hike~
I think I hiked for about 8 hours a day.
I was wearing a hard material core tech hiking shoe, and since the hiking socks were also thick, I think it was too tight inside the shoes with no room to spare.
At this time, the pain in the right side was severe, and a few days later, a noticeable bump suddenly protruded from the eye.
It's like a bone suddenly sticking out after being stung by a bee...
I was surprised and startled, wondering what was going on.
Wearing hiking boots and hiking for a long time was the reason my bunion worsened; I couldn't have imagined that.
I don't think I paid much attention when it wasn't this serious.
I wish I had known that continuous external stimuli to the foot can worsen hallux valgus and increase pain.
If you have bunion symptoms like me, please keep this in mind; it seems you can prevent it from worsening like I did.
I wish I had known in advance; I wouldn't have come out this much, so it's a bit disappointing.
Curious about treatment methods for bunion correction
Is physical therapy possible for bunion?
Can I make the protruding part go inside?
I have never been to the hospital for bunion deformity, so I don't know any related information or which department provides treatment.
I found that there are various types of bunion correction devices. Are there any products that are particularly effective?
If there are others who are struggling with symptoms like mine, such as hallux valgus, I would love to share information and discuss our concerns together.
