I heard that there is a calcified fragment in the right shoulder muscle, but it is not severe. It was visible on an X-ray, and since it wasn't serious, I was prescribed physical therapy and medication, and I learned shoulder exercises. I was told to use it as little as possible, but... anyway, because of the pain, I ended up saving my arm and avoided heavy tasks for a while. Of course, I couldn't lift heavy things, and I spent two or three months like that. If it had been worse, I would have undergone a procedure, but it wasn't to that extent, so I gradually returned to daily life. Since the pain decreased, I naturally started using my arm again, but because the calcification wasn't removed through surgery, I still feel some pain.
I feel like I can't go back to how I used to be, so I am trying to use my left arm as a protective measure whenever possible.
At this point, my question is whether I have no choice but to save my right arm as much as possible and use it less...
Is the pilates exercise using elastic bands or small equipment, which I do for overall health, ultimately harmful to my right shoulder?
As long as I don't overdo it, I believe that the current exercise is helpful, so I keep doing it. However, as I age and my joints start to break down, I feel a sense of doubt about this strength training... I am concerned because I am less convinced.
