Is frozen shoulder really a thing?

These symptoms have been present for two months.

  1. My right forearm is tingling.
  2. Cannot lift arms more than 90 degrees forward and sideways
  3. A tingling sensation spreads to the back of the neck and the right side of the back.
  4. When I turn in a certain direction, my arm hurts a lot. I feel a sudden sharp pain and can't move for about 10 seconds.

Some time ago, I received a shock to my left arm, and when I had an ultrasound, it was diagnosed as inflammation. I also received physical therapy but didn't listen to the advice, so I just left it alone. After about six months, it healed on its own.

But when I asked about symptoms 1-4 above, my acquaintance said it was frozen shoulder and there’s no way to do anything; it will get better with time. Is that correct? Should I just go to the hospital?

Please advise those with experience.
