I relieved the pain with a mustard poultice.

I was in my early 30s. Despite my young age, I suffered greatly from knee pain. I was so into pottery that I spent several hours sitting and working on it at home.

 

As a result, at some point, my knees started hurting, and eventually I couldn't even stand. The pain in my knees was so severe that I had difficulty standing while cooking, so I brought a chair and sat down and got up repeatedly while eating.

 

I kept going to the oriental clinic in front of my house for acupuncture and diligently took the medication. The effects were somewhat noticeable, but I felt that it would take a long time and might not improve well, so I searched the internet and found a site called 'Susu Pat Tteok.' There, I learned about mustard poultices and discovered that the cause of my knee pain was bacterial proliferation due to inflammation.

 

The principle of mustard poultice is that bacteria are transferred to the nutritious mustard. Once I understood the principle, I became more confident in using mustard poultices.

 

The very next day, I bought mustard powder and immediately did a hot compress, but I couldn't even endure a few seconds. After doing it, I felt a bit refreshed, but I wasn't satisfied. I gradually increased the duration, but I started to think that this wasn't right.

 

The site also mentioned not to do it for more than 15 minutes... because of the risk of burns... But while reading the posts on the site in detail, I came across a short story from someone with experience who had done it for a long time, and I really decided to be firm and did about 40 minutes of moxibilation... The result was a huge success... The knee pain disappeared as if by magic. It was very hot during the process, but I really endured it. My skin turned red like strawberries, but I didn't get burned and was okay. I found that there are many articles about mustard moxibilation when searching on the internet.

When the pain is too intense and desperate, I find my own way.

 

Mustard poultices are known to be less effective for rheumatism or senile arthritis, but they seem to be highly effective for pain caused by inflammation. Don't suffer like I did; if you're in pain, please visit a hospital first. I don't really like going to the hospital, so I chose this method, and it was successful, but people with sensitive skin might not tolerate mustard poultices.
