Every time that happens, I get so surprised that I grab my chin with both hands and gently apply force, and it closes as if it were going back to its original position. . I don't yawn too loudly on purpose, but this symptom keeps happening, and I'm getting more and more scared. . Even if you keep your mouth open for a long time, like when you are receiving treatment at the dentist, , There have been many times when I was embarrassed because my jaw didn't close right away even after the treatment was over. .

 

I'm wondering if my temporomandibular joint is not in good condition, so I'm trying to manage it in my own way. .

First of all, I'm concerned about food. . I try to avoid hard or chewy foods like squid or nuts as much as possible. , I also cut up foods with a tough texture, such as apples or meat, into small pieces whenever possible. . I've also stopped chewing gum for a long time because I heard it can put a strain on your jaw. . It's a small habit, but I'm practicing it with the hope of reducing the burden on my chin. .

And I also make time for stretching, which is known to help with the temporomandibular joint. . Repeat the motion of slowly opening and closing your mouth , I'm following along to gently massage the muscles around my jaw. . Rather than suddenly opening it wide, I am careful to move it slowly within a pain-free range. .

 

Also, it is said that the habit of chewing food on only one side is not good for the temporomandibular joint. , I try to consciously alternate between left and right sides every time I eat. . At first, I unconsciously ended up only using the side that was comfortable. , These days, I'm trying to chew on the other side too. . It's a small habit, but I'm hoping it will help balance my jaw. .

 

However, despite consistently practicing these preventive measures, my symptoms are not improving significantly. . Especially on days when I'm tired or stressed, I feel like my jaw is hanging more. , It may even be accompanied by pain. . Would it be appropriate to go to the hospital at this point? ? If you have to go, should you go to the dentist? , Or I'm wondering if I should go to an orthopedic clinic or another department .

    턱관절전문 병원이 있어요. 찾아보시고 전 방문했을때 일단은 원인을 알려주셨는데 저의 앙다무는 습관때문이라고 하시더라고요. 잘때도 과도하게 꽉 다물고 자는 습관때문이라 일단 이에 끼는 마우스피스를 권하겼고, 치료는 찜질이랑 전기물리치료했어요. 
    마우스피스는 꽤 비싸서 저렴한거 구매했고, 집에서 계속 턱관절에 찜질해주는게 좋다하더라고요.
