헐...너무 아팠겠어요! ㅠㅠ 턱뼈에 금간게 아니라서 정말 다행입니다.
A review of treatment for a chin bruise caused by a fall at Open Orthopedics.
Not long ago, I was walking down a slope when the ground was so slippery that I couldn't keep my footing properly. I fell and hit my chin hard on the concrete floor. The impact was so severe that I was worried I might have a bone problem, so I went to the hospital.
While I was wondering which hospital to go to, I asked my parents and they said that it was close to Hwajeong Station, the doctor was kind, and there were many reviews saying that the doctor explained the diagnosis and treatment in detail. Open Orthopedics I came here after receiving a recommendation. The hospital is located near Hwajeong Station, so it was very accessible.
The hospital is divided into treatment areas, a physical therapy center, and an inpatient center, so the flow of traffic was uncomplicated, and overall, I felt the facilities were well-organized. This orthopedic clinic treats conditions related to bones, joints, and muscles, offering a variety of non-surgical treatments, from simple physical therapy to manual therapy.
After a long wait, I entered the examination room, where the doctor meticulously asked me about the circumstances of my fall, the location of my pain, and any other discomforts I was experiencing. After taking an X-ray, he explained the condition of my jaw and my prognosis in an easy-to-understand manner while looking at the results on the screen. Fortunately, I was diagnosed with no bone abnormalities and only a bruise.
Although physical therapy was not necessary, the doctor prescribed injections and medication to take for 3-4 days for a quick recovery. He also gave me careful instructions that even if there were no abnormalities on the X-ray, I should definitely visit a TMJ specialist dentist if I felt any pain in my jaw or gums within a few days. I applied ice packs frequently as the doctor said, and thanks to the injections, the pain gradually subsided. After taking the prescribed medication without fail for 3 days, fortunately, my jaw pain almost disappeared and I did not experience any additional pain in my gums or jaw joint.
I was worried that my jaw might have cracked or fractured, given the impact of my fall. However, the doctor reassured me throughout the treatment and explained the results in detail, which was a huge psychological relief. Having personally experienced this, I fully understand why so many reviews cite the thoroughness of the consultation and treatment explanations.
There are many orthopedic clinics near Hwajeong Station, but Open Orthopedics is a hospital I highly recommend to my neighbors, as it provides meticulous care without sparing its time. If necessary, I would definitely return.
