Postoperative review of toe sesamoiditis in orthopedics

Unexpectedly, I had to wear a cast on my foot and couldn't move at all, staying at home in this condition. A few days ago, I visited an orthopedic clinic and was suspected of having sesamoiditis, so I received physical therapy and a half-cast splint. I had heard that there are nicknames for certain conditions, but I had never heard of sesamoiditis before. I realized that such a disease exists and learned about this revolutionary condition for the first time. While I am familiar with plantar fasciitis, which is often confused with sesamoiditis, the term sesamoiditis was very unfamiliar and sounded like a strange disease. The sesamoid bones, which are tiny bones located in the soles of the feet and palms of the hands, are truly fascinating the more I learn about them. Usually, there are two or three small bones called sesamoids located under the big toe, which help facilitate smooth movement of the toe bones and the bones on the top of the foot. These bones are shaped like seeds, hence the name sesamoid bones. They play a role in enabling the movement of the toes when bending and straightening. However, I experienced severe pain in my left big toe, which disturbed my sleep, and the pain became so intense that I couldn't even put my foot on the ground. The sole of my foot was swollen, making it impossible to walk properly. The symptoms of sesamoiditis include severe pain in the bottom of the foot, especially just below the big toe, and discomfort as if there were foreign objects in the sole when walking for several days. This condition is commonly seen in marathon runners, tennis players, sprinters, or dancers. As walking barefoot has become trendy, many ordinary people now complain of foot pain, especially since many parks and mountain trails are now barefoot-friendly. Although barefoot walking is popular, many people experience foot pain, so walking barefoot during exercise may not be as beneficial as thought. It is important to be cautious when exercising barefoot. As barefoot walking has become fashionable, more people are experiencing foot pain, but it is necessary to assess your body condition carefully and exercise appropriately. When it comes to foot pain, many think only of plantar fasciitis, but sesamoiditis should be considered when experiencing pain in the front part of the sole, right below the big toe. This area bears the most weight, which makes sense. The pain from plantar fasciitis is usually located in the center or back of the sole. The doctor explained this while showing me an X-ray. I realized that I have these bones in my body and learned detailed information about sesamoiditis. I received medication, physical therapy, and a splint, and if you experience similar symptoms, you can consider it as sesamoiditis. After laser and cold therapy, I was given a splint and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. The hospital's interior was clean and neat, and the doctors explained sesamoiditis thoroughly and carefully. I was very satisfied and able to receive good treatment.Postoperative review of toe sesamoiditis in orthopedicsPostoperative review of toe sesamoiditis in orthopedics

건강을 위해 걷는데 또 걷는다고 몸이 망가지는 경우가 있죠. 참 당황스러워요. 이런 일이 생기면 도대체 어쩌라는 건지 말이죠
