My personal method to prevent the flu and body aches in advance
These days, during winter, colds and flu are always prevalent, so I make extra efforts to take care of myself in winter to prevent cold-related illnesses in advance.
I try to maintain good immunity regularly to prevent colds, body aches, and the flu.
My personally practiced methods for preventing colds are taking mega doses of vitamin C daily, eating red ginseng powder, and drinking CCA juice.
In the past, whenever I caught a cold, I would go to the hospital, get an IV, and take medication, but the symptoms of body aches would last quite a long time. Because I was in poor condition, I remember how difficult my daily life was until I recovered. However, I was complacent, thinking that I was still young, and I didn't make any efforts to boost my immunity. As I aged year by year, I felt that my recovery from colds and body aches was taking longer each time. During that time, I also observed and indirectly experienced cases where family and relatives suddenly became ill, which led me to realize that health must be maintained while one is healthy.
When a cold worsens, it can be accompanied by body ache symptoms, which are closely related to immunity.
There are various ways we usually boost our immunity and prevent colds and flu, but I take high-dose vitamin C supplements. This is called megadose therapy. Occasionally, side effects may include kidney stones, but drinking plenty of water prevents such symptoms. Aside from that, there are no other significant side effects.
My family and I have been taking megadoses of vitamin C for several years, and the common point is that we rarely catch colds.
I went through COVID-19 asymptomatically, and since practicing megadoses, I have not caught a cold for several years.
Mega doses of vitamin C are still a subject of medical debate, but those who practice it generally say it is beneficial. Still, I recommend adjusting it to suit your individual needs and ensuring you take vitamin C daily, even if not in high doses.
Another way I prevent the flu and body aches is by eating steamed and dried ginger, that is, red ginger.
Honggang is a premium ginger that has increased its active ingredients several times through the process of steaming and drying ginger, resulting in a concentrated product. In particular, the component called shogaol becomes significantly higher, providing powerful antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral effects to boost immunity.
I eat about a teaspoon of Honggang powder each day. I mix it with warm water and drink it, and it's easier to drink because it's less spicy than ginger tea. Even on days when my throat feels a bit sore, I feel fine the next day, and it works well.
My final method to boost immunity and prevent the flu is the so-called CCA juice made by juicing cabbage, apples, and carrots.
These are vegetables that are good for the body and boost immunity. I juice them with a Hurom and drink a glass every day.
I shared my methods for preventing the flu and cold symptoms. I hope it was helpful, even just a little.
I hope everyone stays healthy by boosting their immunity and taking good preventive measures before falling ill.
