Honest review of the treatment process and costs for acute lymphadenitis

 

Hello, I suffered for a few days with acute lymphadenitis and have recovered.

I am planning to write a somewhat honest and detailed review about the treatment for lymphadenitis (including costs and other details).

The initial symptoms were mild, but treatment was necessary, and the cost was also high.

Please note that there are parts you must check after coming out.

 

 

Symptoms of lymphadenitis:

First, I have a small cyst-like bump near the side line (almost the back part) of my neck.

Starting with the sensation, when pressed, pain occurs and the head is turned in that direction.

Is it somewhat uncomfortable when doing it? Actually, there were no major pain or symptoms other than that.

Symptoms may vary from person to person.

I don't think I had symptoms severe enough to cause significant inconvenience in my daily life.

Actually, it doesn't feel that serious to me, so I went to the neighborhood ENT clinic.

I went and received a prescription. They told me to try using the antibiotics and monitor the progress.

If you receive a 2-3 day medication prescription and your condition improves, that's fine; if it stays the same or worsens,

I heard that I must visit the hospital / They said treatment for lymphadenitis is essential ㅠ

 

There was no change in the condition, so I visited the hospital again, and the inflammation improved with antibiotics.

I heard that I need to go to a larger hospital because it won't subside.

Treatment for lymphadenitis requires medication prescriptions and inflammation management.

Lymphadenitis itself is said to recur easily.

Cause:

The causes of acute lymphadenitis are diverse, but it is mainly said that a weakened immune system is the primary cause.

When the doctor's immune system weakens, inflammation occurs and doesn't subside.

They said treatment should be combined, and managing immunity seems to be important.

(Of course, it's not always easy to do exactly as I want, but still ㅠㅠ)

 

 

 

Lymphadenitis treatment process:

 

Visit to university hospital -> Medical consultation -> Intravenous therapy (3 times) / Blood test -> CT scan -> Prescription medication

 

Simply put, I received treatment for lymphadenitis in the following order.

Actually, it would be better to do the CT scan first, but I visited on the weekend.

Since a CT scan was not possible, we proceeded with fluid therapy first.

 

I had to receive IV fluids as many as three times, and the infusion time was almost 1-2 hours each.

There were more than 3-4 correct amounts of IV fluid packs,ㅠㅠ

Most of the treatments were related to immune-boosting infusions and lymphadenitis therapy.

 

The blood test and CT scan results are not related to malignant or dangerous tumors.

In reality, my immune system was weakened, and I was quite swollen.

I have improved a lot while receiving treatment, and I received a medication prescription.

Actually, we decided not to receive any additional treatment.

Lymphadenitis treatment progress:

 

Actually, after receiving the IV infusion, my condition improved noticeably and quite quickly.

From Wednesday to Friday (3 days), the ENT medication prescription remained unchanged.

 

Receiving IV therapy at the university hospital on Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

The visible lump has disappeared, and there is no pain when pressed.

The condition is close to being fully cured.

Actually, I have a lot to say about the cost aspect...

Hospital bills do cost a lot, but I find this a bit unfair.
