( Rhinitis treatment ) Rhinitis surgery at Asan Medical Center

I have suffered quite a bit from rhinitis since I was young. Since the early 1990s, my parents took me to hospitals and clinics that were said to be good for rhinitis, but they didn't really help much.

I decided to undergo sinus surgery in my mid-20s, and I had the surgery at Asan Medical Center in 2009. It was performed under local anesthesia and took about 30 minutes. I suffered for a whole day after the surgery. There was no pain, but my nose was tightly packed with cotton, and I couldn't breathe at all, which caused difficulty in breathing.

I still remember the refreshing feeling when I removed all the cotton and took my first breath after surgery. Since then, I think my quality of life has changed. Sometimes I experience nasal congestion, but compared to the suffering I endured throughout the year, it's nothing.

The effectiveness of surgery seems to vary from person to person. My younger sibling also had surgery at the same hospital due to severe rhinitis, but unfortunately, they hardly saw any benefits from the surgery. They are still suffering from nasal congestion!
