Are tinnitus and hearing loss related?

Recently, I have been hearing tinnitus more frequently. Especially when I feel a bit uncomfortable or unwell, I hear a loud "bip---" tinnitus sound intensely. There is a big difference between occasional tinnitus and frequent tinnitus. Since I hear it often, it greatly affects my daily life. I try to stay relaxed and live normally, but it's difficult. I heard that if tinnitus becomes frequent, it can lead to hearing loss. Hearing loss is really frightening... Is there a relationship between tinnitus and hearing loss? I don't want to hear tinnitus, so how can I reduce it?
