Has anyone experienced treatment after having benign paroxysmal positional vertigo?
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo... As someone who has experienced it, it was truly a frightening memory.
I suddenly tried to stand up but felt dizzy and just sat down heavily. I sat there blankly for a while, then lay down and stared at the ceiling, wondering what was happening. After searching, I found out it might be tinnitus or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
I was lying down for a while and felt better, but the next day when I tried to sleep again, I experienced the same symptoms. This time, perhaps because I had experienced it the day before, I immediately sat down.
The first time, I thought that if I forced myself to walk and then fell, I could really get seriously injured.
Eventually, I searched here and there and through YouTube.
Turn your head to the left and hold for 30 seconds.
Look up at the ceiling for 30 seconds.
Turn your head to the right and hold for 30 seconds.
Repeat this process multiple times in this manner
That day, I repeated the same actions several times.
In the end? I fixed it.
Fortunately, there have been no recurrences since then.
They say this is a major problem caused by stress, and I did have some stressful moments at that time.
It's a dirty memory I never want to experience again from my perspective, but I have some questions about it.
Is this a symptom of recurrence?
- What should I do regularly to prevent recurrence?
Does it relate to movement or food?
- Whether this can develop into a chronic condition, then surgery would be necessary.
Is permanent treatment possible? In my case, I fixed it simply, but there might be cases where that doesn't work.
I have three questions.
Among those who received hospital treatment, how did you receive it?
How long have you been receiving it? I'm also curious if there have been cases that went as far as surgery and whether there was a recurrence in those cases.
