Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo... I had only heard about it verbally, but experiencing it firsthand is really frightening.
In my case, in the morning while sleeping, I suddenly felt a sharp, tingling sensation in my head when I turned my head, like a bolt of electricity. I wondered what it was, and when I opened my eyes, I saw the ceiling, walls, and furniture spinning around.
That feeling of really spinning around... I felt it back then.
I felt dizzy when I got up from the bed, so it was hard to keep my balance.ㅜㅜ
Just barely regaining consciousness, I was so severely vomiting and dizzy that I couldn't sit up, so I urgently called my husband who had gone to work, and he rushed over.
Until then, I didn't know if it was benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, and I thought I had eaten something bad, so I went to the internal medicine department.
The doctor who treated me recently said it might be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and advised me to visit the ENT department.
There were so many people waiting when I visited the ENT clinic...🤧
After waiting for nearly two hours, I received treatment, but I'm worried because it hasn't healed completely.
About two weeks later, it relapsed again, and even now during treatment, my pupils respond a bit slower at times and my head still shakes a little 😢
When the otoliths come out and stick to sticky areas, making it hard to detach and find their proper place, these symptoms appear. The doctor said that there are various reasons for the onset of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, but the biggest cause is stress.
Honestly, we don't really know where the stress comes from or which parts cause us stress.
Is it difficult to fully recover from benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) treatment?
I'm afraid that the symptoms might suddenly appear again.
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo!!! I'm really worriedㅠㅠ
