I'm sharing my experience treating a lump in my left neck and lymphadenitis caused by accumulated fatigue.
Recently, due to fatigue and overwork, I developed a lump under my left neck, so I visited the hospital and was diagnosed with lymphadenitis. While the pain and swelling in my neck weren't severe, it felt stiff to the touch, so I felt the need for immediate treatment. During the consultation, the doctor explained that the inflammation was likely due to fatigue or a weakened immune system, and that lymphadenitis treatment would be appropriate. I recovered with a combination of injections and medication.
During my treatment for lymphadenitis, I underwent an ultrasound to determine the size and degree of inflammation in my lymph nodes. I was prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication. After about two days of taking them, the pain subsided, and I felt the lumps shrink. The doctor emphasized the importance of consistent medication and adequate sleep and nutrition during lymphadenitis treatment. He also advised me to rest as much as possible, as a demanding schedule or stress can delay recovery.
One thing I learned while receiving treatment for lymphadenitis is that it's crucial to seek early treatment rather than simply ignore a lump you feel. This is especially true for people like me who talk a lot or have a busy work schedule, as accumulated fatigue can lead to inflammation. I applied a warm compress during my treatment, and I felt the lumps in my skin soften a bit. However, I was also advised that compresses should only be used with a doctor's permission and should be avoided if accompanied by a fever.
Finally, since pain or lumps in the same area can recur even after lymphadenitis treatment, I realized the importance of lifestyle habits that boost immunity to prevent recurrence. I realized once again that the best treatment for lymphadenitis is to drink plenty of water, minimize stress, and rest when you feel tired. If, like me, you feel a lump below your neck along with fatigue, I urge you not to dismiss it as simple muscle pain, but to seek treatment for lymphadenitis as soon as possible.
