A review of my experience with severe vertigo caused by vestibular neuritis.

Severe dizziness due to vestibular neuritis.

Discharged after 5 days of hospitalization.

It's been 5 months now and I'm still recovering.

7:00 AM, June 28, 2025

That morning I still can't forget

It's a day I really don't want to even remember.

This morning I woke up after doing the same routine as any other day the night before.

I woke up this morning and something felt strange.

I haven't been able to sleep well for the past few months due to menopausal symptoms.

It was hard, maybe because I didn't sleep well the night before

While I was thinking about it, something unexpected happened out of the blue

I feel like I'm sweating and feeling nauseous

I feel a little dizzy

My mom and friend talked about benign paroxysmal positional vertigo before

I remembered what I had done, so I called my mom.

My mother also thought she had benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, so she lay down and tilted her head.

He told me to shake it, and in less than 5 minutes

The symptoms get worse and the world starts spinning.

The vomiting continued and I couldn't even walk.

It's gotten to the point where it's a disaster.

A friend called and told me to call 119 urgently.

After talking, I barely managed to call 119 and get an ambulance.

I took the car and went to a nearby university hospital.

I can't even open my eyes and just keep vomiting

When I arrived at the emergency room, I thought it was just benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and had an MRI and CT scan.

I was hospitalized.

That day, the doctor's eyes were spinning

Based on the test results, it was diagnosed as vestibular neuritis.

You did.

This is the first time I've heard of this disease!!

It's similar to benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, but the symptoms seem to be more serious.

After being hospitalized, I spent 2-3 days without even opening my eyes.

I was discharged after 5 days without being able to walk on my own. The hospital also recommended that I be discharged because there was no other treatment method besides steroid injections and medication.

I had a recovery period at home.

Until then, vestibular neuritis lasted about 2 to 3 weeks.

I was told that I would feel better after recovering, so I stopped exercising for a month.

I decided to just rest for a while.

It was so difficult to go out alone for a month.

I can't live outside at all, really

I just spent my days lying on the living room sofa. ㅠ

Dizziness even after about a month of recovery

My symptoms aren't getting better and I feel like the world is shaking every time I walk.

I felt like I was walking around after drinking 3 bottles of soju. ㅠ

After visiting the hospital again, tests were conducted.

How scary it is to think that it could be Meniere's disease

I was nervous..ㅠ

Meniere's disease is said to be a disease that causes hearing loss, but fortunately, my hearing was fine.

I was so nervous that I almost cried~

It's been five months since that day.

But I still feel a little dizzy. ㅠ

When I spin around, when I look up at the sky, when I turn my head...

When I first came to the emergency room at the hospital, my symptoms were

They said that since it came in at 100 points out of 100, it may take a long time to recover.

So now I am exercising consistently every day

I want to have fun.

They say there is no specific cause of vestibular neuritis.

Viral infection or stress menopause

Symptoms and symptoms are varied.

In my case, I think menopausal symptoms may have been a major cause.

So first of all, I try to get a good night's sleep.

I try not to get stressed.

And I'm also working out hard.

I hope you get 100% better soon

I want to exercise like I used to, jumping around a lot.

This vestibular neuritis seems to be a case of time-related illness.

To become a healthier me by working out hard

I want to live happily every day.

Don't be stressed out, everyone.

Let's work hard together to live a healthy life

Fighting! I'll do it~^^
