hello?
I'm worried about tinnitus.
I went to a karaoke bar two weeks ago and the noise was so loud that my ears felt like they were going to burst.
I thought it was just a temporary pain at the time, but the next morning after I went to a karaoke room, I heard a really loud beeping sound from my left ear for about 5 seconds, and sounds that I could normally hear without any problems now hurt my ear (ex. a slightly loud TV, the sound of a ping pong ball bouncing). And after that, I heard a beeping sound from my ear for about 5 seconds about twice, and the earache continued when I heard slightly loud sounds. After that, I went to a local hospital, was diagnosed with hyperacusis, and took medicine.
But my hearing didn't get better, so I went to a bigger university hospital, where I was diagnosed with the same hyperacusis and prescribed new medication. I started taking the medication, and from the day I started taking it, for some reason, my hyperacusis improved by almost 90%, and I started having tinnitus in my left ear for 24 hours. It was a very low, high-pitched sound. At the same time, I started feeling dizzy and had chills.
Last night, while I was sleeping, my left eye felt like it was being pressured, so I went back to the university hospital I'd been to. I thought it was a side effect of the medication, but they diagnosed it as tinnitus caused by noise trauma and prescribed only a tranquilizer.
But I'm not very satisfied with it, so I'm thinking about going to another hospital. What should I do?
