Taking zinc supplements and garlic extract to prevent colds
Even when living together, there was someone who caught colds easily, and that was me. Since I have a constitution that is prone to colds, I started taking zinc supplements and garlic extract continuously to prevent colds. As a result of trying to boost my immunity in this way, I was able to avoid catching colds even during the cold winter and successfully prevented colds.
First, I took a zinc-containing supplement to prevent a cold. Previously, I was taking a multivitamin and vitamin-focused supplements, but I chose this one for cold prevention. Zinc is said to be effective in inhibiting the replication of rhinoviruses, which cause colds. Zinc helps maintain the health of mucous membranes and assists immune cells in responding to viruses, thereby helping to prevent colds.
I chose the NutriCore Zinc Supplement. It contains 235% of the daily nutritional reference intake for zinc, and also includes vitamin D, selenium, and iodine, which was great. Additionally, it contains ginseng, angelica root, HK shiitake mushroom mycelium, and propolis, which are effective for cold prevention, making this product sufficiently effective on its own.
Secondly, I consistently took supplements containing garlic extract to prevent colds. The component of garlic known to boost immunity is allicin, a spicy compound, and it is said that people who eat garlic get colds two-thirds less often. I was introduced to Kyolic aged garlic extract tablets made in the United States, and I was able to consume 600mg of aged garlic per dose. Aged garlic contains a powerful antimicrobial component called allicin, which inhibits bacteria and viruses, enhances immunity, and is effective in preventing colds.
When the immune system weakens, it becomes easier to catch various illnesses such as colds even from small viruses, and it also takes longer to recover. To address this, I made persistent efforts. I continuously took zinc supplements and garlic extract to prevent colds.
