I have been prone to catching colds easily since a long time ago, especially with severe symptoms in my nose and throat, so I always struggled with colds during winter or seasonal changes. Therefore, I looked for information on how to prevent colds and came across the fact that zinc and vitamin D are good for cold prevention, so I started taking zinc and vitamin D supplements to prevent colds. After taking zinc and vitamin D supplements continuously for several months, I did not catch a cold even once during last winter and this spring, except for a day when I felt a very mild cold. In the past, I tried many methods to prevent colds, such as drinking honey tea, citron tea, using humidifiers, and dressing warmly. However, I still suffered from colds every winter and seasonal change, and nothing I did seemed to effectively prevent them. Then, after researching online and learning that zinc and vitamin D supplements are good for cold prevention, I decided to buy and start taking supplements around November last year, even if it was a bit of a gamble. Zinc is said to be one of the essential minerals needed to strengthen the immune system. It particularly contributes to the production and activation of white blood cells, which are key immune cells, making it good for cold prevention. Additionally, zinc helps with cell regeneration and healing in the body, so a deficiency in zinc can slow down wound healing and weaken the immune defenses, making it easier to catch colds or the flu.
