(Ask 8 times) Orthodontic braces for elementary school children
My 11-year-old son in 4th grade was told at the general dental clinic where he was receiving cavity treatment that he has malocclusion. He was advised to visit an orthodontic specialist.
I used to think that orthodontics only involved extracting teeth and wearing metal braces, so I thought my child was still too young. But when I asked about the timing of orthodontics in the community, opinions varied. So, I decided to visit a specialized orthodontic clinic first. The doctor who examined my child's teeth said that the two upper incisors showed malocclusion, and because my child's face and mouth are small, permanent teeth might not come out properly. These were some frightening words. And they said that everything can only be confirmed after a detailed panoramic X-ray examination.ㅠㅠ
So, the examination cost was 200,000 won. And we need to get a night-time orthodontic appliance that the child can wear only while sleeping, as the child is still young, and they are expecting quick results.
The picture shows a model resembling a child's teeth.
It takes about a week to get the orthodontic appliance.
I hear there are so many children with dental problems these days. In the old days, they could live without any issues just fine, but now I can't let them live with malocclusionㅠ Sigh~ I just hope they grow up a bit more normally~
