Sharing three warning signs of stroke, treatment, and five prevention tips!
[3-line summary]
- 1. Cerebral infarction is a condition where the brain blood vessels become narrowed, blocked, or ruptured, leading to inadequate blood supply!
- 2. Sharing experiences related to the three warning signs and treatment of cerebral infarction!
- Let's prevent cerebral infarction through healthy eating habits and other measures~
This photo shows the intensive care unit for stroke patients at a university hospital.
I want to share my family's past experience with a stroke at our ancestral home to promote a healthy life.
- 1. Ischemic stroke refers to a condition where blood vessels become narrowed or blocked due to arteriosclerosis, or where blood vessels weaken and rupture, preventing proper blood supply to the brain.
2-1. I received a call from my family at my hometown, and upon listening, they mentioned three things related to a stroke.
Firstly, they suddenly watch TV and say that they have difficulty seeing moving objects clearly.
Second, they say that from the arm to the leg on one side, there is no strength and they cannot move as they intend. Third, even while talking on the phone, their speech is somewhat slurred compared to usual.
2-2. Therefore, we decided to go to the emergency room.
Because, in the case of stroke, the timing of treatment is very important.
So, when the family at my hometown showed early symptoms of a stroke, they went to the emergency room at a tertiary hospital.
And then, again, from that hospital's emergency room, I immediately went to the university hospital's emergency room by ambulance.
Therefore, from the emergency room, I underwent various blood tests for several hours and received IV fluids to restore my weakened strength.
Then, I was admitted to the stroke intensive care unit at the university hospital and underwent various MRI and CT scans to examine the cerebral infarction.
I was hospitalized and continuously received various blood tests and IV fluids.
Then, a few days after admission, an MRI related to the brain was scheduled and performed.
Go to the neurology chief doctor's consultation room,
I listened to an explanation while viewing the brain MRI images.
The explanation is that the brain blood vessels are narrowed due to arteriosclerosis, preventing normal blood supply.
Therefore, it is recommended to undergo medication treatment.
It is generally recommended to avoid brain procedures or brain surgery for ischemic stroke whenever possible.
Ischemic stroke has a good prognosis with prompt treatment and medication.
Still, the treatment time takes a long time.
This photo was taken in front of the brain intensive care unit, showing a brain vascular image.
As a preventive measure for cerebral infarction, the neurology professor advised not to eat greasy foods and to avoid stress.
And they gave me some brief information related to cerebral infarction!
So, I searched for information about cerebral infarction here and there, and my family told me the following!
First, they advised against eating a lot of fried foods. It is said that fried foods contain a lot of oil that can clog blood vessels.
Secondly, to keep your blood vessels healthy, it is good to eat onions, garlic, and other beneficial foods together with meat. Additionally, it is best to avoid consuming fats from pork and other sources as much as possible. Furthermore, to intake protein, it is recommended to frequently consume blue fish and vegetables.
Thirdly, regular exercise is important for becoming healthier.
Fourth, it is important to maintain health through restful sleep.
Finally, the most important thing is not to get stressed. Since it is impossible to avoid stress in social life or interpersonal relationships, it is important to experience less stress, and I believe it is crucial to relieve stress in your own way.
Through sharing this kind of experience,
Protecting a healthy life together
I think this is important, so I am sharing it ~
