응급실 샘이 친절하고 꼼꼼하게 해주신다니 너무 좋네요 . 제가다니는 대학병원은 친절하고 거리가 좀있어서 부럽네요 ^^
Introducing Chungnam National University Hospital, providing friendly and thorough medical care.
I want to introduce it as a general hospital.
Introducing Chungnam National University Hospital, where care is friendly and meticulous.
Address: 282 Munhwa-ro, Jung-gu, Daejeon, Chungnam National University Hospital
You can go down to Exit 1 at Seodaejeon Crossroads Station on the subway.
Patients who have made reservations at Chungnam National University do not need to go to the reception desk separately. When they arrive at the hospital, they can confirm their arrival at the outpatient area or the arrival notification stations located throughout the hospital. After completing their outpatient consultation or treatment, they can settle their payment at the reception desk.
It's great that the check-in machines located everywhere allow for immediate processing without long waits at the reception.
When confirming arrival, you can enter the patient's registration number or resident registration number, and when the arrival confirmation paper comes out, you can measure height, weight, and blood pressure, then scan the barcode on the arrival confirmation to automatically input the data, which is very convenient.
General hospitals have all medical departments, so it's best to check the location of the department you need to visit before going.
Clinic hours are weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Thursday and Sunday are closed.
The emergency room is open all day.
I went to the Chungnam National University Hospital emergency room because my son hurt his elbow on a weekend evening.
I was worried that there would be many emergency patients in the emergency room and that the wait time would be long, but fortunately, it didn't take as long as I expected, so I was relieved. First, the emergency room doctor came and checked my blood pressure, examined the torn wound area, and carefully checked by moving my elbow left, right, up, and down.
Although not visible to the naked eye, glass shards may be inside the torn wound, and nerve damage also needs to be checked, so an X-ray was recommended. The torn area on the elbow isn't large, but it was torn more deeply than expected. Fortunately, they reassured me that the nerves were not affected.
I also received antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and a glucose IV.
The inside of the skin was also stitched, as well as the outer skin. In the case of the elbow, since it is a place that bends a lot, it takes longer for the wound to heal compared to other areas, and it needs to be carefully managed. When going to the general hospital for disinfection, they said it is expensive, so if possible, disinfect daily at home and go to the local orthopedic clinic every 2 or 3 days for disinfection. The antibiotic ointment prescribed by the hospital was instructed to be applied after removing the stitches. They also said that applying the antibiotic ointment with stitches while the stitches are still in could slow down the healing process.
The emergency room doctor was very busy, but they carefully and kindly checked my condition and explained everything, so I was very grateful. After my elbow treatment, they also explained the precautions and management well, and when disinfecting, they informed me that it’s okay to do it at a local clinic instead of a general hospital because it’s cheaper. I appreciated that.
On weekends, especially on weekend evenings, hospitals are usually closed, making it difficult and stressful to find a hospital when you're sick. I think it's really fortunate that general hospitals have emergency rooms open every day.
There are many patients in the emergency room, so long waits are a challenge, but it's a place where urgent diagnosis and treatment can be provided, so I think it's a department that patients really need!!
