I had shingles while I was pregnant, and although I don't have the rash now, the pain is the same as back then. However, it always appears near my solar plexus. At that time, blisters appeared on my back, and I experienced a recurring stabbing pain in my solar plexus. (Thinking about that moment makes me feel suddenly sad. I couldn't take any medication and had to endure it naturally—if I had to do it again now, I definitely couldn't do it.)

 

Actually, once you get shingles, the chances of recurrence are significantly reduced. However, even without blisters, it still hurts just the same. Since yesterday, I've been taking painkillers because of pain around my chest, but as the medication wears off, the pain inevitably returns 😳

 

And I tend to get herpes quite often. It's herpes type 1. It always appears around the lips, and I experience pain before and after the blisters form. So, what is herpes?

 

 

Whenever I feel tired or definitely notice my immune system has weakened, symptoms always appear. Usually, I experience post/preceding laryng neuralgia or pain around the upper abdomen, but when I go to the hospital, they say it's not shingles.

 

 

Herpes simplex virus type 1 primary infection includes 1. acute oral pharyngeal infection, 2. lip herpes, and 3. skin infection. In my case, it corresponds to number 2.

 

 

 

However, latent within the ganglion... the ganglion... the part I am focused on is here. I heard somewhere that herpes and neuralgia are related. So I looked into it and found that the dormant herpes simplex virus in the ganglion can become active, causing pain without blisters. It sounds quite plausible. 🥸

 

 

 

Then, my concern (question) is,

 

One question: Is there really a correlation between herpes and neuralgia?

Two questions: Can neuralgia move to a very small area and still appear?

Three questions: Are there treatment options other than painkillers?

Four questions: Is complete recovery really impossible?

Five questions: Could my headaches, occipital neuralgia, and chronic submandibular sialadenitis also be related to herpes and be a type of neuralgia and symptom associated with it?
