(Concern) What should I do when I have a severe headache?
I am suffering greatly from migraines. Although not regularly, I experience severe pain on one side of my head about once every 2 to 3 months. I have had a CT scan at the hospital, and whenever the pain becomes very intense, I go to the hospital, but there is nothing much I can do besides getting medication and IV fluids.
Migraine symptoms:
I will try to describe the symptoms I am experiencing.
- Migraine warning signs - Suddenly feeling extremely tired, having a pounding headache, and losing energy.
- I woke up and one side of my head (usually above my right eyebrow) hurts, and the back of my head feels tense. I also feel nauseous, and in severe cases, I vomit. I can't eat anything and have to take medication, but if I try to eat even rice, I vomit it right away. (In severe cases, I have vomited more than seven times.)
- These symptoms have lasted for about two days and then gradually improve.
- Taking Tylenol is useless, and the prescribed medication isn't working quickly, so it's difficult.
Do you know how difficult it really is when you have a headache? I looked it up online and found that it occurs much more frequently in women, and it's also hard to find the cause. There are even mentions that it's related to estrogen... ㅜㅜ If anyone suffering from severe migraines knows of any helpful hospitals or effective methods, please let me know.
I spent the entire weekend lying down for two days straight, so I'm just leaving a message (ㅠㅠ).
