I tried IPL laser treatment.

I have never been interested in skin care, and because I didn't wear sunscreen when I was young, I developed deep pigmentation and melasma.

After having two children, my dark spots have worsened..

Moreover, as the wrinkles become more pronounced, my mother, who couldn't bear it any longer, went to her friend's hospital.

They suggested we receive treatment together, so I started going with a Shurink + IPL package.

My liver hospital is "Choi Gyu Nam Plastic Surgery" in Tanbang-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon.

I go with my mom every 2 to 3 months to receive both Shurink lifting and IPL treatments.

 

 

First, I looked up what IPT laser is.

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light.

It is said that comprehensive light across a wide range of wavelengths can have a general improvement effect on skin condition.

A laser composed of a single wavelength can treat only one skin imperfection at a time, such as blood vessels, wrinkles, pigmentation, or hair removal.

IPL laser affects various skin troubles and helps improve overall skin condition.

It periodically emits strong light at multiple wavelengths, which can help with various skin issues such as capillaries, pigmentation, and enlarged pores. IPL is said to be most effective for freckles.

Freckles are concentrated on the outermost layer of the skin's thickness, where melanin pigment is most abundant, so IPL treatment, which improves by peeling away the surface, is considered suitable.

It is said that IPL laser devices like this have the following equipment.

 

 

Then, how about laser toning?

Laser toning, unlike IPL, targets the excessively formed melanin pigments deep within the skin's dermal layer.

It is said that it gradually decomposes and improves with low energy and wavelength.

Laser toning does not form scabs unlike IPL and has relatively lower energy, so approximately 10 sessions are needed.

The number of procedures, and it is said that the procedure cycle is about once a week.

 

In a way, I think laser toning might be the right answer for my deep dark spots.

We decided to proceed with IPL for overall skin tone and blemishes.

When I do IPL, my face doesn't turn red as much as I thought it would.

Maybe because it's the next day, I seem to be feeling down.

It is the fifth day after receiving IPL laser treatment on Wednesday, July 5th.

I get scabs like this, but since my skin tends to form scabs lightly, I just covered them with BB cream and cushion and went about my day.

 

And this is the condition one week after the IPL laser procedure, on July 8th.

You can see that the scab has fallen off a lot..

That day... I wasn't feeling well due to acute pharyngitis, and I noticed a lot of blemishes appearing.

The IPL effect is slightly visible, but since the skin tone is not good due to condition issues, I don't think I can say it has improved much.

Of course... Deep-rooted melasma can't be cured with just one IPL treatment.

 

Still, after receiving IPL laser treatment and about 1-2 weeks pass, the overall skin tone becomes more even.

People are saying that I look better and that my face looks good.

 

My desire is to receive IPL laser treatments every 2-3 months and to have laser toning in between.

Costs are not insignificant, and working moms find it just as difficult to carve out that much time... haha

Still, the deeply rooted dark spots removal is really my biggest concern... These days, it's become my goal(?)

 

Precautions after IPT laser treatment

You can wash your face or apply makeup on the day of the procedure, but you should use products that are gentle and minimally irritating.

Since there may be a sensation of heat at the treatment site, after the procedure, generously apply essence to your face at the hospital and place a cool pack on it.

They say it would be good to apply a cool pack once more in the evening at home.

They say it's good to apply cold compresses periodically.

 

And after the procedure, sunscreen is essential.

Exposing the skin directly without protection when it is irritated can lead to opposite results.

Please make sure to apply sunscreen after using the pack at the hospital.

I realized I need to be more careful with sunscreen even when I'm at home for a week.

 

And you should also refrain from sunbathing and strenuous outdoor activities.

You should refrain from sauna and intense exercise for about a week.

And applying regenerative cream and soothing moisturizer for about a week is said to be good for skin recovery.

 

I couldn't properly take care of myself because I suddenly caught a severe cold.

I think I should do a facial pack and take care of my face this evening, even now.. haha..
