The procedure I am interested in and want to receive is

 

StarLux is the icon.

 

It is a laser that regenerates skin collagen; it is a non-ablative fractional laser.

 

The principle is to stimulate the dermis with mild heat without causing wounds on the skin surface, thereby promoting collagen regeneration.

 

I liked that I didn't want to show any indication of having had the procedure, so I was pleased that the scars from the procedure are not visible on the outside.

 

 

It's hard to see the effects after just one or two sessions, but after about five to ten sessions, anyone can recognize the benefits.

 

I first learned about it from the YouTube channel "Neighborhood Doctor" by Lee Sang-wook.

 

 

The advantages of StarLux Icon are

 

Since it does not irritate the facial epidermis, scabs do not form or leave marks.

 

By applying heat stimulation to the dermis at a depth of about 2mm, the area receiving heat stimulation undergoes collagen remodeling and regeneration, resulting in thickening of the skin's dermis. This helps prevent skin sagging, reduces fine lines, decreases pore size, and significantly improves skin elasticity.

 

Because the laser penetrates in a jar shape, it causes less stimulation to the outer surface of our skin, the epidermis, so slight sensations of heat, swelling, etc., may occur after the procedure, but the stimulation is considered to be minimal.

 

 

On the other hand, the disadvantages are

 

The price of the machine itself is quite expensive, so the procedure cost is somewhat high. Therefore, it can be burdensome, and since it is a laser procedure, it is not suitable for everyone.

 

Additionally, depending on whether the skin concern is acne scars, pores, or fine wrinkles, other specialized lasers may provide better results than this method.

 

Since it is not a laser that cuts the skin, it is considered to cause less stimulation, but in reality, it leaves stamp marks on the face and the area becomes red. However, these usually disappear after half a day to a day, so there is no need to worry about depth.

Since it works on the principle of stimulating the skin, it is suitable for people with healthy skin that can withstand the stimulation. If you have conditions such as acne, skin inflammation, or redness, it is better not to undergo the treatment.

 

They say it's enough to receive it once every 1-2 months.

 

It is said to be relatively less painful compared to other fractional lasers.

 

 

I don't have major skin troubles, but as I get older, I worry about my skin losing elasticity.
