An honest review of the Hongdae Portra Lifting experience, which offers immediate results with minimal pain and a comparison with titanium.
When considering a lifting procedure, the biggest concern is always the same.
Are you sick, are you having downtime, and are you seeing any real changes? I, too, am not good at home care or exercising regularly, so I was always concerned about my sagging face and forehead. I have a strong memory of having to stop in between lifting treatments I had in the past because of the pain.
So this time, I was looking for a lifting method that was “less painful and had immediate effects,” and I ended up getting Portra Lifting in Hongdae.

Why Choose Portra Lifting?
Since Portra Lifting is a relatively new lifting device, there wasn't much information available at first, so I looked for reviews.
The Hongdae dermatology clinic I visited had quite a few reviews of Portra Lifting, so I decided to visit after checking out actual experiences through blog comments.
The location is near the Kakao Friends building at exit 8 of Hongik University Station, so it wasn't difficult to find even for first-time visitors.
The most impressive part of the consultation process
The entire procedure was carried out in the following order:
-
Custom consultation based on 3D skin precision analysis
-
Washing your face
-
Consultation with the director
-
Treatment
-
Finishing pack management
Among them, the most memorable was the custom lifting analysis consultation.

The 3D precision diagnosis analyzes the entire face by dividing it into several items. It does not simply look at freckles or pigmentation, but also allows you to check skin age, mid-eye location, tear trough, and left-right asymmetry in numbers and images.
The analysis of the mid-face area was particularly interesting. By comparing the current condition with the appearance when it improved or worsened, I was able to understand “why lifting is needed in this area.”
Fortunately, I was told that the position of the central eye was relatively stable. Based on this consultation Portra Lifting 80kj The treatment energy was determined by .
What is Portra Lifting?
Portra Lifting is a lifting method that uses four wavelengths simultaneously to deliver energy to different targets in each skin layer.
The key to lifting is not simply pulling the skin, but how to improve the weakening of the retaining ligaments that cause aging. I was told that Portra is a device that mainly aims to reconstruct these retaining ligaments.
Usually, when the retaining ligament collapses, a double chin, deep wrinkles, and sagging of the face tend to appear together, so I was impressed by the fact that this method fundamentally fixes these.
Another interesting point was the explanation that Portra Lifting is an upgraded version (2nd generation) of titanium lifting.
Procedure and perceived pain
Before the procedure, taping is applied to the face and scalp to ensure effective hair removal. I started with one side, checked the difference in the before and after in a mirror, then redesigned the design before moving on to the other side.
During this process, the director checked the asymmetry quite thoroughly.
What surprised me most was the immediate change. Even though I only had the treatment on one side, I could see the lines on my face becoming more defined, and I felt like the phrase "immediate results" wasn't an exaggeration.
There was almost no pain. The cooling also kicked in, and it felt completely different from the sharp pain I felt with the titanium treatment.
I only felt a flash of light, and I had no desire to stop in the middle.
Also, the total energy was maintained while the treatment speed was fast, so the entire process was completed much more smoothly than expected.
Post-procedure condition and downtime
Immediately after the procedure, there was a slight redness and heat sensation only on the front cheek, which naturally subsided after about an hour.
There was minimal bruising or noticeable swelling. This part was personally the most satisfying to me. I thought I could receive it without any burden even before the schedule.
Changes felt in before and after comparison
-
The wrinkles on the forehead become lighter
-
The skin surface feels firmly adhered
-
An impression where the entire face looks neat
I felt a change with just one treatment, and it felt like lifting, tightening, and brightening all at once.

Differences felt compared to titanium lifting
If I summarize it based on my personal experience, it is as follows.
-
Pain: Titanium is strong / Portra has almost none
-
Swelling: Titanium lasts for 2-3 days / Almost none on the day of the port
-
Treatment speed: Portra is much faster
If you have a tendency to not tolerate pain well, I think Portra would be much less of a burden.
I think it would be especially suitable for these types of people.
-
Beginners to lifting who are sensitive to pain
-
If you want a treatment without downtime before an important event
-
If you are concerned about sagging skin such as double chin, nasolabial folds, or bulldog skin
-
For those who want to see immediate changes with their own eyes
The biggest advantages of Portralifting are that it is almost painless + immediate changes + minimal downtime.
I felt that for those who think of lifting as a “savings plan for anti-aging skin care,” it would be an option worth trying at least once.
I thought I would like to manage it periodically in the future.
