A woman was found dead in a hillside in Seocheon County, Chungnam, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

Seocheon Police Station announced on the 3rd that they are investigating and have detained Mr. A on charges of murder.

According to reports from Asia Economy, Mr. B went out for exercise on the afternoon of the 2nd and did not return. His family reported him missing, and the police launched a search, eventually discovering Mr. B deceased in a wooded area near A Apartment in Seocheon-eup.

The police discovered Mr. B's stab wounds and arrested Mr. A.

A police official said, "We are currently arresting Mr. A to investigate the details of the incident and verify his exact identity."

 

 

A man in his 30s, Mr. A, who murdered a woman in her 40s with a weapon in Seocheon County, Chungnam, reportedly committed the crime after recently being scammed and losing money, feeling that the world was turning away from him.

On the 4th, Seocheon Police Station has requested an arrest warrant for Mr. A on charges of murder and is reviewing the disclosure of his personal information. The police received a report from the victim's family the night before (the 2nd) that the victim had not returned home, and after conducting a search, they found the victim's body around 3:45 a.m. the previous day (the 3rd) in an open field in Sagog-ri, Seocheon-gun, Chungnam.

 

The police identified Mr. A as a suspect through analysis of surrounding CCTV footage and made an emergency arrest. As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that Mr. A had no prior acquaintance with the victim and was responsible for committing an abnormal motive crime.

 

He stated during the police investigation, "I was recently scammed and lost money, which caused me extreme stress," and "Feeling like the world wasn't helping me, I went out onto the street with a weapon, and as soon as I saw Mr. A, I killed him."

The police are continuing their investigation, considering it a premeditated crime based on evidence such as Mr. A wandering the streets with a weapon and searching for a target.
