White House pressures for regime change in Ukraine... Is this the America we knew?

The U.S. White House has now called for a regime change in Ukraine.

 

On the 2nd (local time), White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated in an interview with CNN, "We need a Ukrainian leader who can stand up to the United States and end the war through negotiations with Russia."

 

It appears that they believe they can interfere in the regime change of allied countries if it obstructs the blueprint for ending the Ukraine conflict pursued by Trump's second term administration.

 

Ultimately, if they do not meekly accept their claims, it seems to be no different from a stubborn determination to change the game entirely and seize what they need.

 

Due to President Zelensky's term expiration, Ukraine was supposed to hold a presidential election last March, but Zelensky suspended all elections citing martial law caused by the Russian invasion.

 

The issue is that, under Ukrainian law, the term of parliament members is extended under martial law, but there is no regulation extending the president's term, which means Zelensky cannot be entirely free from questions of legitimacy.

 

Originally, such issues have always been raised by Russia, but now it is even more surprising that the United States is taking the lead.
