On the same day, Mr. B, who appealed for the writing of a petition online, said, "The bereaved family members asked me to write a petition," and explained the details of the incident.

He claimed, "On the morning of the 15th at 3 a.m., when the deceased was first discovered, he was beaten with a bottle of soju on the back of the head, damaging his skull and face entirely," and "there was blood flowing from his eyes, nose, and mouth, his nasal bone was collapsed, and he had no nose at all. One eye was swollen and protruding, and he was taken to the hospital due to excessive bleeding. The perpetrator was his wife."

He also stated, "Around 11:30 a.m., I called the bereaved family from the hospital, and my wife initially denied knowing the contact information of the family members, claiming she had hired a lawyer beforehand."

 

According to Mr. B, the bereaved family members only learned after the death that the deceased had two sons with different last names. The deceased had married a divorced woman with two children 20 years ago when he was still single, and his wife had been pretending to live alone with just the two of them without any children until now.

It is reported that during the funeral period of the deceased, one of the sons traveled to Jeju Island and posted a cheerful photo as his KakaoTalk profile picture.

Mr. B reported that his wife, who was lurking around the deceased's funeral, met with the bereaved family and blamed the deceased, saying, "I was talking to a woman."

Mr. B earnestly requested to sign a petition to help resolve the deceased's lingering resentment, as the deceased's estate is registered under the perpetrator wife's name, and the bereaved family must fight against a large law firm appointed by the wife.

Meanwhile, Pyeongtaek Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 24th that they are investigating the deceased's wife, Ms. C (in her 50s, female), on charges of murder. Ms. C is suspected of throwing a bottle of liquor at the deceased's head at her residence in Jije-dong, Pyeongtaek City, around 3 a.m. on the 15th, resulting in his death.

It was determined that the deceased, who collapsed after being hit by a bottle of soju, performed the act himself while still somewhat conscious. The deceased was transported to the hospital, but after about 12 hours, he ultimately passed away.

The Suwon District Court Pyeongtaek Branch dismissed the arrest warrant for Mr. C on the 17th, citing no concern of evidence tampering or flight. The police plan to review whether to reapply for an arrest warrant for Mr. C through supplementary investigation.
