Forecast of fine dust inflow on Wednesday

The daytime high will be 4 to 13 degrees, likely to be mild.

 

On the 21st, the entire country was covered with fine dust, and it is expected that the air quality will remain poor in most regions nationwide until Wednesday the 22nd.

On the 21st, except for Jeju, the fine dust concentration nationwide is at a 'bad' level, and ultra-fine dust advisories have been issued for the Seoul metropolitan area excluding Ganghwa, northern Chungnam, northern and central Chungbuk, and Sejong.

On the morning of that day, fog covered most areas mainly in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk, and combined with dust, reducing visibility to less than 200 meters.

Fine dust is expected to be imported once more from abroad on the morning of Wednesday the 22nd, and air quality is forecasted to be poor until as long as Friday the 24th.

Meanwhile, due to the influence of high pressure, temperatures are about 2 to 6 degrees higher than average, and warm weather is expected to continue during the daytime for the time being.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the minimum temperature on the morning of the 22nd is expected to be between -6 and 3 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature during the day ranging from 4 to 13 degrees Celsius. On Thursday the 23rd, the minimum temperature in the morning is expected to be between -7 and 4 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature during the day will rise to between 6 and 14 degrees Celsius.

The Korea Meteorological Administration warned, "In the coming days, daytime temperatures will rise, causing ice on rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and streams to thin and potentially break, so caution is needed to prevent safety accidents."

In addition, the eastern coast, Gangwon mountain area, northeastern Gyeongbuk mountain area, and Busan, where a dry weather advisory has been issued, are experiencing very dry air, and strong winds are blowing, so caution is needed to prevent various fires, including wildfires.
