A soldier on leave attempted to sexually assault a woman he had no prior acquaintance with in a restroom of a commercial building in Jung-gu, Daejeon, but was stopped and stabbed with a weapon. According to this, soldier B said, "I'm going to die today," "Before I die, we should have sex once," and "Take off your pants," then stabbed and threatened A with a weapon. Despite being stabbed, A reassured B and lured him outside.

 

He said, "I understand. It's too cramped here, so let's go outside," and calmed Mr. B down, and after a few minutes of persuasion, he was finally able to come out into the corridor.

 

Mr. B, sensing a presence in the commercial corridor, did not attempt any further sexual assault. However, he engaged in some somewhat incomprehensible behavior, such as asking Ms. A for a handshake. Ms. A begged him to just leave, but reluctantly agreed to shake hands due to Mr. B's repeated demands.

 

Person B then left the scene and fled to a nearby apartment. Person A immediately called a coworker for help and reported Person B to the police.

 

The police located and arrested Mr. B within 15 minutes of the report. It is reported that he was attempting to make an extreme choice on the rooftop at the time. During police investigation, Mr. B stated, "I don't remember wielding a weapon." The police applied for and received an arrest warrant for Mr. B on charges of special rape and injury.

 

Patient A, who was transferred to the hospital, sustained severe injuries to the head and ears, requiring over 100 stitches. There were five lacerations over 10 cm on the head, and the ear was pierced by a weapon, exposing the cartilage.

 

Mr. A, who is receiving treatment, described the situation in writing. He recalled, "There was a loud crashing sound, so I was startled and looked up. The man in the next compartment was stepping on the toilet and trying to climb over the wall. I grabbed my clothes and stood up, but he pushed me and suddenly stabbed me."

 

He said, "It seems the perpetrator also injured his hand while wielding a weapon. 'Huh? Why am I hurt here? Why is it red?'"
