A man in his 50s climbing Hallasan in Jeju collapsed and died.

According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters on the 27th, a report was received at around 10:05 a.m. that a man in his 50s, Mr. A, who was climbing the Hallasan Gwaneumsa course, was experiencing difficulty breathing.

Person A was found collapsed near the Triangle Shelter and was transported to a hospital in Jeju City by monorail and ambulance, but was pronounced dead around 1:20 PM.

The fire department explained, "Due to bad weather conditions, the helicopter could not take off, so we descended via the monorail."
