A 10-year-old elementary school student who believes in Santa wrote a letter: "Please remove the president."
They say I'm not in my right mind, haha.
Amid heated discussions about the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, a letter written by an elementary school student, shocked by martial law and sent to Santa, has been revealed and is attracting great attention.
On the 19th, an online community posted a message titled "A third grader's writing is causing a stir."
The author of the post, Mr. A, shared a photo and said, "My wife found a letter she had hidden in the corner while organizing her desk."
The letter, which appears to be written on torn sketchbook paper, contained the message: "Santa Claus, please help me. Will I be able to survive until Christmas? Our president is out of his mind."
Next, it says, "Please help remove Yoon Seong-ryeol (Yoon Seok-youl) from the presidency. I am serious. People are in an uproar."
Below the letter, there was also a drawing of a person holding a placard that said "Step back."
Author A explained, "I don't know when it was written, but it's a piece written by a third-grade elementary school student who still believes in Santa."
The post sparked a strong reaction among internet users.
Some expressed sympathy and pride, saying, "How scared must the child have been," and "Even elementary school students worry about the country."
On the other hand, there were reactions expressing doubt about the authenticity of the letter, saying, "There are 10-year-olds who believe in Santa, 10-year-olds who don't even know the president's name, and 10-year-olds who make spelling mistakes like that."
This letter, which emerged in the midst of the impeachment crisis, is drawing attention for its potential social impact.
