It was recently revealed that actress Seo Hyo-rim did not receive approximately 100 million won in appearance fees from her former agency.

 

According to broadcasters and the legal community on the 18th, Seo Hyo-rim has not received approximately 89 million won in settlement payments for her appearances in dramas, movies, and advertisements from entertainment management company Majikke from May 2021 to July 2022.

 

This includes advertising fees filmed in 2021, appearance fees for the MBC drama "The Red Sleeve," appearance fees for the 2022 film "In Dream," and YouTube filming appearance fees.

 

Mr. Kim of Majikke wrote a letter of commitment stating he would settle accounts in July 2022, but the promise was not kept.

 

Seo Hyo-rim filed a lawsuit to claim the contractual amount, and in February of last year, Judge Lee Baek-kyu of the Seoul Central District Court's Civil 96 Division ordered Ma Jig and CEO Kim to pay the unsettled amount.

 

However, until now, 1 year and 10 months later, the payment has not been made. According to the court's decision, an interest rate of 12% per year has been applied, increasing the amount that Seo Hyorum should receive to 120 million won.

 

Majikke is still engaged in the entertainment management business.

 

Seo Hyo-rim's side stated, "We also applied for dispute mediation with the Korea Entertainment Management Association in October this year, but all we received from CEO Kim was a promise to repay 700,000 won every month."
