The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety identified three companies that manufactured and sold "seaweed flakes" by adding ingredients that are not food ingredients on the 6th, and they have halted sales and initiated a recall.
It has been confirmed that 'Dan Kim (Pyropia haitanensis)', which cannot be used as a food ingredient, was found in Solsolsol Gimgaru and Garugimkkaru manufactured by Geumdong Corporation (Incheon Bupyeong-gu), Haemirak Gimgaru produced by Dongi Food Co., Ltd. (Iksan, Jeonbuk), and Gimgaru produced by Gwangcheon Dasol Gim (Hongseong-gun, Chungnam).
Dan-gim has not been sufficiently verified as an edible ingredient through domestic consumption experiences, so it cannot be used as a food raw material.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety stated, "The relevant local government has taken measures to promptly recall the product," and "We urge consumers who purchased the product to stop consumption and return it to the place of purchase."
