This is really sweet..
I was surprised while eating..
They make it like this and many people eat it..
They say this is very harmful.
But once you try it, it's so sweet that it's hard to eat more than two or three times.
I didn't realize that even a single banana-flavored milk contains so much sugar ㅠㅠ
I shouldn't look at or taste this kind of banana coffee milk.
A recipe for mixing coffee powder into banana milk is trending on YouTube and other social media platforms. Usually, two packets of coffee mix are added to one banana milk, which might taste good but is harmful to health. It can lead to excessive intake of sugar and saturated fats.
◇Sugar content in the recipe is close to the daily sugar intake limit
A single banana-flavored milk available on the market contains ▲27g of sugar (27% of the daily nutritional intake guideline) ▲8g of fat (15%) ▲5g of saturated fat (33%). A single coffee mix contains ▲6g of sugar (6%) ▲1.6g of fat (3%) ▲1.6g of saturated fat (11%).
◇ Saturated fat content is higher than expected... better not to eat it unnecessarily
The amount of fat intake is also a problem more than expected. Mixing two coffee creamer packets into banana milk results in an intake of about 8.2g of saturated fat. The daily upper limit for saturated fat set by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is 15g. According to an analysis of fat intake conducted by Professor Sim Jae-eun's team from Daejeon University’s Department of Food and Nutrition, based on the 2016-2017 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey of 17,772 adults aged 19 and over, Koreans consume 14.2g of saturated fat daily. Drinking banana milk with added coffee creamer would easily exceed this limit.
Eating saturated fats frequently increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. It is essential to exercise regularly and consume foods that promote heart health. Just 30 minutes of aerobic exercise three to five times a week can help prevent cardiovascular disease. Whole grains, beans, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and fish are beneficial for heart health. It is recommended to eat half a cup of whole grains, beans, and fruits three times a day; one cup of raw vegetables three times a day; 30 grams of nuts four times a week; and 100 grams of fish at least twice a week.
