A mysterious pillar-shaped formation has been captured among the clouds in the sky over Thailand, sparking controversy.

On the 21st, according to local media such as Matichon News, a photo of the sky in Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand, showing a pillar-like formation emerging between the clouds, was posted online and drew attention.

The author explained, "The sky was very beautiful at the time, so I took a photo, but a pillar was visible in the picture," adding, "However, the pillar was not visible to the naked eye." Online, various speculations emerged regarding the identity of the pillar.

Netizens who saw the post responded with various comments such as "It looks like a giant bean tree from a legend," "It resembles the temple of gods from the Dragon Ball manga," "Son Goku's magic staff," and "It appears because of a large shadow cast by something on the ground."

A professor at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand speculated that it could be a "distrail," the fading trail that occurs when an airplane passes through clouds, unless it was filmed with a manipulated or defective camera.

In Thailand, it is generally understood that the clouds trailing behind an airplane as it flies through the sky are called 'contrails'.
