으악..ㅠㅠ 너무 징그럽네요 정말 조심해야겠어요. ㅠㅠ
Recently, CT images of a patient infected with a parasite called cysticercosis have become a hot topic.
According to foreign media outlets such as The Sun on the 28th (local time), Sam Ghaly, an emergency medicine doctor at the University of Florida, shared an image of the leg of a patient with cysticercosis on X Account (formerly Twitter). The photo was of a patient infected with parasites after eating undercooked pork. Sam Ghaly said, “You need to know that cysticercosis can be transmitted not only orally but also through feces,” and “It can be transmitted when an infected person uses the toilet and does not wash their hands properly and shares food and water with multiple people or through water contaminated with feces.”
He also said, “The larvae can escape the intestines and spread anywhere in the body through the bloodstream, with the brain, eyes, subcutaneous tissue, and skeletal muscles being the most common sites.” Once inside the body, the larvae form calcified cysts, which can feel like hard lumps under the skin. On CT scans, these calcified cysts, which look like white, oval grains of rice, are the ones created by the larvae. “The prognosis for cysticercosis is usually good, but unfortunately, some cases can be fatal,” said Dr. Sam Ghaly. “It is estimated that 50 million people are infected worldwide each year, resulting in about 50,000 deaths.” He continued, “Always wash your hands thoroughly and avoid raw or undercooked pork.”
There have been frequent reports of parasitic infections from eating undercooked pork. To prevent cysticercosis, it's best to cook pork thoroughly before eating. It's also important to thoroughly wash your hands after handling raw meat, as parasites can be transferred to your hands. Wash between your fingers and under your fingernails with soap and running water for at least 30 seconds.
=====================
The thing that looks like a grain of rice is a parasite
This is terrifying
Imagine there are parasites running around inside your body.
This is really terrible
Eat undercooked pork
I was told by my parents that I had parasites.
So pork is better than other meats
I'm eating it after it's been cooked quickly...
I guess I should make hand washing a part of my daily routine.
