A tragic accident occurred in India where a three-year-old girl died after being crushed by a large dog that fell from a building five stories high.

On the 7th (local time), according to various foreign news outlets including NDTV, the incident occurred the previous afternoon in Mumbra, a small suburban town about 30 km from Mumbai, India. According to released security camera footage, a large Golden Retriever suddenly fell from a five-story building, and then it directly attacked a 3-year-old girl, A, who was passing through an alley next to the building.

Ms. A, who received a strong shock, lost consciousness right there. Her mother lifted her fallen daughter into her arms and called for help nearby. Meanwhile, the Golden Retriever regained consciousness and stood up on its own, but its movements were slow, seemingly due to disorientation caused by the shock.

Ms. A was immediately transported to the hospital with the help of passersby. However, she sustained serious injuries and eventually passed away during treatment. It was confirmed that Ms. A and her mother were out for a walk nearby at the time when the incident occurred. Locally, it was revealed that Ms. A was an only daughter, whom her family had struggled to have after eight years, adding to the sense of tragedy.

The Golden Retriever that fell from the building was rescued and taken to an animal hospital. However, the circumstances of the Golden Retriever's fall have not been clarified. It is still unknown whether someone deliberately threw it or if it fell while moving on its own. The bereaved family claims, "The owner occupies the entire building terrace and is raising multiple breeds of dogs without permission."

The local police are investigating the identity of the dog owner and the circumstances of the incident. They also plan to perform an autopsy on the victim to determine the exact cause of death, and will investigate whether there was any intent or signs of animal abuse by the owner.
