The last letter left by Ko Hyun-chul... It is touching.

When I was very young, my dad sang the song <Bougainvillea Love>.

Even at a young age, I knew that the song my dad was singing was a Hyun Chul song.

In my father's era, Hyun Chul, Joo Hyun Mi, Seol Un Do, and Tae Jin Ah were famous.

He was a figure who dominated an era... I sincerely pray for the repose of the deceased's soul.

The last letter left by Ko Hyun-chul... It is touching.

At that time, he expressed his feelings through a handwritten letter, saying, "I'm overwhelmed with emotion that my junior colleagues, like children, are going to have a great time at the 'Hyuncheol Song Festival.' I feel very regretful and disappointed that I couldn't be part of it. I sincerely thank those who once again thought of the name Hyuncheol, which is fading away. I am truly happy and love you."

Meanwhile, Hyuncheol, born in 1942, debuted in the music industry in 1969 with "Cruel You." After a long period of obscurity, he gained popularity in the 1980s with hit songs such as "Whether Sitting or Standing, I Think of You" and "Love Might Be a Butterfly."

In particular, the song "Bougainvillea Love" released in 1988 became a huge hit, elevating Hyun Chul to the ranks of popular singers. He won the KBS "Gayo Daejeon" Grand Prize in 1989 with "Bougainvillea Love," and the following year, he was honored with the grand prize for the second consecutive year with "I Hate It, I Hate It."

Hyuncheol was known as one of the "Four Kings of Trot" alongside Song Daegwan, Tae Jin-ah, and Seol Un-do.
