Postpartum care center staff who assaulted a 9-day-old newborn after birth

1. A woman holding a newborn sat down, then forcefully hit the baby's head so that it turned, pushed aside the face of another child lying on the bed, and lifted the baby without even looking at it or supporting its neck. The mother passing by in the hallway happened to notice the signs of abuse and was devastated.

2. At that time, the baby was on its 9th day after birth, and during the investigation process, it was confirmed that the woman’s behavior became more aggressive as the baby was not feeding well. There was also a scene captured where she grabbed the baby's head with her left hand and shook it violently.

3. The parents filed a police report against the woman last May, but the employee has since resigned from the postpartum care center. The postpartum care center claims it was an individual misconduct, and the police have referred the case to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on charges of child abuse.
