On the early morning of the 10th, sudden heavy rain poured over the Chungcheong and Jeolla regions, resulting in four deaths as of 11 a.m. that day, and causing damage to 391 public facilities including roads and river embankments.

According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (Central Disaster Headquarters), a total of four people have died due to this heavy rain in Okcheon County, Chungbuk, Nonsan City and Seocheon County in Chungnam, and Buk-gu in Daegu.

One person is missing in Yeongdong County, Chungbuk, and a search is underway.

A total of 391 public facilities, including roads, river embankments, landslide debris flow, and bridge subsidence, have been reported as damaged.

There are 146 cases of damage to private facilities such as house flooding, vehicle flooding, and retaining wall damage.

Flooded crops covered 969.2 hectares, and lost or submerged farmland was 44.9 hectares.

The temporarily evacuated disaster victims number 2,585 households and 3,568 people.

986 households and 1,417 people have received temporary housing facilities such as community centers, schools, and religious facilities.

The Gyeongbuk Urban Psychological Recovery Center conducted 26 psychological counseling sessions for them.

Due to this heavy rain, 478 sections across 19 national parks, including Mudeungsan and Jirisan, have been closed.

Operations have been suspended on five routes with 11 vessels, including Ulleung-Dokdo and Mokpo-Hongdo, as well as train services on the Janghang Line (Yesan-Daeya) and Honam Line (Heukseok-ri-Yeonsan and Yongdong-Iksan).

Six flights were canceled, and bus services on six routes in Gyeongbuk were restricted.

Sixteen underground passages and forty-three roads have also been closed.

Access restrictions have been imposed on 6 camping sites and 329 walking trails.

The heavy rain advisory issued for Jeonbuk, Jeonnam Wando, Geomundo, Chodo, and Pohang in Gyeongbuk has been lifted.

Currently, some areas along the southern coast of Jeollanam-do are experiencing rainfall of about 10mm per hour, while other areas are experiencing rainfall of about 5mm per hour.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters plans to continue monitoring the weather conditions and thoroughly promote safety management in preparation for additional rainfall.
