It has been reported that the man in his 30s, the perpetrator of the "Sangju restaurant owner murder case" that occurred last month, has an intellectual disability.

According to Maeil Newspaper on the 9th, Mr. B, a man in his 30s who was recently indicted and detained on charges of murdering Ms. A, a woman in her 50s, was intellectually disabled and did not believe that Ms. A was his biological mother until the time of the crime.

He was adopted by relatives in the past, but when they divorced, Mr. A took back his son, Mr. B. However, it is known that Mr. B did not believe that Mr. A was his biological mother.

Additionally, Mr. B was often scolded by Mr. A for causing trouble, such as helping with the restaurant work while also meddling with customers' belongings.

Ultimately, Mr. B strangled Mr. A's neck while he was sleeping around 4 a.m. on the 10th of last month, causing him to faint, and then stabbed him with a weapon, resulting in his death.

He fled after the crime, but was caught by the police on the street near Suseong Lake in Suseong-gu, Daegu.
