The person identifying himself as "Team Leader Lee" reportedly suggested via Telegram, "If you vandalize Gyeongbokgung Palace, I will pay you." Mr. Lee also shared the phrase "Free Movies" along with the address of an illegal movie sharing website he operates.

Mr. Lim received 100,000 won under the pretext of an advance payment, then, along with Mr. Kim (17), he doodled as instructed and reported it in real-time via Telegram. 'Team Leader Lee' told them to also doodle at Gyeongbokgung Palace for the King Sejong Award, but Mr. Lim, who was on the scene at the time, said he was scared because police were present and did not doodle.
